Inter Account Transfer Batch

               This module is used to transfer money  from savings to repay loan ,savings to boost shares or shares to increase savings.

                The transfers mainly happens among different accounts( different customer accounts/ customer to g/l accounts). 

           It can also transfer money to G/L accounts against customer accounts and vice versa but for the same customer using a single customer account.


 

To access this window, click :Accounts Management -> Navigate - > Operations - > Batch Origination- > Inter-Account Transfer


 

The following screen will open up:

                    Any available entries will be displayed on the screen. 


 

Creating An Inter - Account Transfer Batch :

  Click on CREATE button to open the following screen:

     On the above screen: 

Priority - Select a Priority from the drop down:

Remarks - Type in an appropriate remark regarding the inter account transfer.

  Apportionment Tab(Debit):

Apportion From/To:

Customer:

Apportion From - Select an Apportionment category from the drop down: 

Full Account Number - Click on the lookup icon to select the source of the funds from the dialog box:

                The rest of the account details - Account status, account remarks, Product Name, Customer, Type, PayRoll Numbers, Identification Number, Account number, Membership number  and  personal file number  - will be automatically populated when the account is selected. 


 

G/L Account:

Apportion From - Select an Apportionment category from the drop down:

G/L Account - Click on the lookup icon to select the source of the funds from the dialog box:

                The rest of the account details - Account Type  and  Cost Distr. Rule  - will be automatically populated when the account is selected. 

Remember: : Adjust the green line, separating the Apportionment tab from the Batch entries tab, upwards or downwards to get more view of what is being apportioned and also to see the entries

Apportionment Tab(Credit):

  Apportion To - Select the appropriate account to be apportioned to from the drop down menu :

Customer Account:

Customer Name - Click on the lookup icon to select the customer from the customer lookup the dialog box:

The details - Customer Type, Customer Serial #, Employer Name, Identification #, Member Number, Account number  and  Personal File Number  - will be automatically populated when the customer is selected. 

Full Account Number - Click on the lookup icon to select the destination account the dialog box:

    The rest of the account details - Principal Balance, Interest Balance, Book Balance and Product Name  - will be automatically populated when the account is selected. 

Primary Description - Type in the appropriate Primary Description into the field. 

Secondary Description - Type in the appropriate Secondary Description into the field. 

Reference - Type in the appropriate Reference into the field. 

Amount - Type in the appropriate Amount into the field. 

Component - Select the appropriate component category to apportion to from the drop down:

NOTE: : If it is a loan account, the principal and interest balance will appear ,you can only  clear amounts equal to or less than but not greater than the balance the member is having.


 

G/L Account:

G/L Account  - Click on the lookup icon to select the destination g/l account from the dialog box: 

The Account Type and Cost Distr. Rule will be automatically displayed.

Primary Description - Type in the appropriate Primary Description into the field. 

Secondary Description - Type in the appropriate Secondary Description into the field. 

Reference - Type in the appropriate Reference into the field. 

Amount - Type in the appropriate Amount into the field. 

Component - Select the appropriate component category to apportion to from the drop down:

Indefinite Charges Tab:

 Select the indefinite charges to be applied to the transfer(if applicable). Check the figure below :

               Click on the add button to add the entries to the batches tab just below:

     To remove an erroneous entry, select the entry then click on the remove button to effect the removal. 

     Click on the create button to capture the transfer into the system. 

             

On successful completion you will get a pop up message confirming that the operation was successful.

                                 


 

After creating the batch return to the Create window and identify the batch created:

Click on the Edit button 

to open the Inter Account Transfer Batch Entry window:

Click the Update button after checking all the details and making adjustments where necessary.

The following prompt will appear:

               Accept or reject accordingly. (This is applicable for verification bypassing)

             

On successful completion you will get a pop up message confirming that the operation was successful.
