FingerPrint
Use this sub-module to capture a member's fingerprint information into the system.

To access this window, click :Registry Management =>> Navigate =>> Operations =>> Biometric Register =>> Fingerprint
The following window will open up:

Creating A Customer In The Biometric Register:
Click on the create button to open up the following screen:

Customer Name - Look up and select the member whose biometric information is to be captured.
The remaining customer details will be automatically populated.
Preferred Finger Digit - Select the member's preferred finger digit from the drop down list :

Provide appropriate remarks in the remarks field.
You can check

flag to enforce withdrawals using fingerprints authentication
Click on the create to add the member to the bio-metric register.

On successful completion you will get a pop up message confirming that the operation was successful.

Editing A Customer On The Biometric Register:
Identify the person to be modified then click on the edit icon

to open the following window:

On the above window, changes can only be made to the customer's preferred finger digit and remarks.
Click on the update button to save the changes into the system.

On successful completion you will get a pop up message confirming that the operation was successful.

Capturing A Customer's Biometric Information :
Identify the person whose fingerprints are to be captured.
Click on the manage icon

to open the following window :

Find the Vanguard Fingerprint Recognition desktop icon, see below :

Double click on the icon to initiate the acquisition. A notification should pop up in the notification bar, in such a format :
(The computer name, the working environment in use and the physical address of the network device to which the computer is connected )

From the show hidden icons button, find the vanguard fingerprint recognition icon, right click then select acquisition.

To acquire a member's specimen to the biometrics register, identify the fingerprint specimen to be captured then click on enroll.

If we are to capture a member's left hand thumb, we'll identify the specimen type from the specimen window:

An enrollment notification for the selected specimen type will be presented in the notification bar :

This notification shows the user, action requested for and the customer to be affected together with his account number.
The reader lights up and the following window (acquisition panel) is presented :

The prints are captured thrice to ensure consistency.
The percentage bar to the extreme right shows the acquisition rate for each print.

Once acquired, the print template will be displayed on the customer's Fingerprint column :

The following system acknowledgment will pop up :

To verify the customer's prints, click on verify from Biometrics > Fingerprints > Verify.
The following notification will be presented in the notification bar :

Switch to the fingerprint recognition window then select verify.
The following acquisition window will open up :

On successful verification, the following system acknowledgment will open up :

The score should be above 10,000 , to confirm that the prints have the best match possible. anything below that threshold shows that the prints do not match.
See the below case :

Make appropriate adjustments to the finger placement to produce the best possible match.
Make appropriate corrections and changes then click update to save the changes into the system.

On successful completion you will get a pop up message confirming that the operation was successful.
