Use this sub-module to capture the cheques your institution sells to members on behalf of a bank.
The cheques belong to a bank but are issued through the Sacco.
To access this window, click :Front Office Management - > Setup - >Banker's Cheque Books
The following screen will open up:
The already captured cheque books will be displayed.
Click on the add Button to open the following screen:
On this screen enter the following details as elaborated below:
Bank - Look up the bank linkage for which the cheque book is being captured
Number of Leaves - Enter the number of leaves the book has.
Initial Leaf Number - Enter the book's initial leaf number.
Remarks - Type in appropriate remarks
Check the applicable charge to be associated with the cheque book
Click on the CREATE Button to save the cheque book into the system.
On successful completion you will get a pop up message confirming that the operation was successful.
To mark a specific cheque leaf as written, right click once on the cheque book containing the cheque leaf and click on the icon to mark it as Flagged.
On clicking Edit , the following tab will be opened. Proceed to select an action for the check leaf either to flag or unflag
On successful completion you will get a pop up message confirming that the operation was successful.
Identify the book to be edited :
Right click on the entry click the edit icon against it to open the following screen:
On the above screen, make the necessary changes to the cheque book details.
Click the flag when the Banker's Cheque Book is no longer operational/ being used.
Click on the update button to save the changes into the system.
On successful completion you will get a pop up message confirming that the operation was successful.
